The first written reference about the town Straz pod Ralskem are from 13th century when the local castle was built. This fact cased the town development. The existence of the town is confirmed on a document of the king Vaclav II from 1283. Sraznice pod Ralskem is known as a pleasant place suitable for spending nice vacations. There are many sport facilities; tennis courts, volleyball courts, water sports etc.
